Made it Monday {Coca-Cola Crate Shelves & Finished Sports Rooms}

We have finished the boys' bedrooms this week and started on my office/future craft room.  I love old stuff mixed with new stuff.  Many years ago my Grandparents used to create wood crafts to sell at Craft Fairs.  One of their products was an old Coca-Cola crate turned into a little wagon.  Last summer we took a trip to Minnesota and when I visited with my Grandma I asked if she had any crates left.  We ventured into her old workshop and found EIGHT crates at the bottom of a wood pile!  I brought all eight home to NC, my hubby wasn't as excited as I was. :)

I sold two of the crates and had the last six sitting out in the garage for the last year.  I decided to use two of the Coca-Cola crates in Xavier's baseball room and two 7-Up crates in the football room.  Here are the crates on the wall.  I still haven't placed all items in them, but you get the idea.
I found the baseball picture at Hobby Lobby for $6.99!

We have had that baseball bat for Xavier since he was one!

I have had many comments and questions about this bed.  It is from Rooms To Go, it is their Derek Jeter bed.

I was excited to find the baseball lamp at a local store :)

I love how this turned out. :)

The one crate looks crooked, but it's not :)
I was happy to find a football lamp as well.  You may notice the duck pictures for each of the boys.  One of the Teacher Assistants that I work with makes these whenever someone has a baby.  She draws ducks for each family member with their name, and we each are to put our thumb prints in our duck.  We haven't done our thumb prints in these ones yet.

The boys' beds.  The NFL bed is also from Rooms To Go.
Hubby and I painted my office/craft room HOT PINK this week!  Dawn D. won a free item from my TpT Store from guessing the correct color on I {Heart} Recess FB page.  I love doing fun freebie/giveaways on my FB page, so if you aren't a follower yet I hope you become one to join in the fun!

I won't have completed pictures of this room for awhile.  We are eventually going to redo the floors and add cabinets, countertops, and shelving.

Next week I promise to have School related Made It Monday items to share with you :)

  2. Love your rooms. I have 4 boys and just can't seem to get away from the sports theme since it's ALL WE KNOW. :) (My classroom is even sports related.) I love the beds and all the neat accessories. Great job!

    My 2nd oldest is desperately wanting a new room. I just need to find the time and motivation to do it. :)

  3. The bedrooms look fantastic! I can't wait to see the finished office/craft room. I'm working on my office, but I have a very tight budget, so most of the things are what I already had.
