Tried It Tuesday {StatCounter}

Do you have a blog and want to know more detailed data on to how many people view your blog or find your blog?  I love data and seeing how you, my awesome followers, find I {Heart} Recess!  I just discovered StatCounter.com....you can see the button at the top right hand corner.  Yes, blogger does keep track of your views and other information, but it is not as detailed StatCounter.

Sorry the pics are blurry, not sure what happened when I saved them :(

StatCounter is free, just create an account and enter your blog address.  I am not sure if this works with FB or Twitter, but do know it works with Blogger and Wordpress.  Once you have an account you will add the button to your blog, this was SUPER easy!

Now that your account has been created you will have access to your blog's data.  I like the circle graph the best so once I log in I select "Incoming Traffic" from the left side menu bar.  Yesterday 33% of my traffic came from social media, 20% direct traffic, 27% social networks, and 20% search engine traffic.
For more detailed information click on the little plus sign on the right hand side, next to the number of view.

StatCounter considers Bloglovin' as a referring website, so most of this category consist of this website. I am also able to see what linky's have provided the most traffic to my blog.  The past two weeks has been thanks to Deb's "Follow the Trail" linky.

The social network detail is my FAVORITE part!  StatCounter will show you what pins are bringing the most traffic to your blog!  I know I am able to see what is pinned from I {Heart} Recess using Pinterest, but StatCounter will tell what pins and how many visit each pin has brought traffic to my blog.  The past two days my Main Idea Bags and Post have brought some nice traffic to I {Heart} Recess. :)

Using the Search Engine data I am able to see what people searched for which then led them to here.  If you click what was searched, for example "main idea" StatCounter will tell you how many people searched using that phrase and where they were located. (May be a bit too much of "Big Brother is watching you".)

I love this new little tool!
