Budding Blog

UPDATE:
I am linking this post up to Bunting, Books, and Brainbridge.

WOW...two post in one day!  Can you tell someone has a lot of time on her hands... :)

In effort to pay it forward for the generous post Diane over at Teaching with Moxie did for me to help increase my followers I am starting a monthly "Budding Blog" showcase.

I am excited that my first "Budding Blog" showcase is for one of my coworkers!  Kelsey over at Growing Gracefully in Third Grade is a first year teacher and on our third grade team.  She has great ideas, technology tips for the classroom, and is really creative.  She just started blogging last week!

About Kelsey

1. Why did you start blogging?
I love to write, and I also LOVE to talk about my "teacher life".  I decided that blogging would be the perfect way for me to combine these two loves for a fun, creative form of expression!

2. Favorite subject to teach and why?
I absolutely love to teach math.  Even though I actually consider myself a stronger reading teacher, I love seeing my little sprouts' faces light up when they truly "get" a math concept!  I also appreciate how most math concepts can be introduced, reinforced, and reviewed with all sorts of games and real-world connections.

3. Describe your teaching style.
I am in my element when my students are genuinely engaged in a lesson.  I encourage my students to ask questions, have fun, and challenge themselves!  I enjoy incorporating games, music, and movement into my instruction.

4. Three interesting facts about you.
      I'm ambidextrous!
I am a nail polish fiend-I have over 200 bottles! I should probably start a nail polish blog, come to think of it.....
I have a TERRIBLE habit of singing out loud to myself...my students are used to me randomly belting out Avett Brothers songs when it's quiet.  Did I mention that I have a voice made for ...silent film?  Oh well, at least I can provide some comic relief during our busy days!

5. Do you have a TpT store?
I do! It's not much at the moment, but it's a little something...

I hope you stop by and check out Kelsey's blog and become her newest follower!
