I have been very busy this past week, which will be explained in this post :)  I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend and ready for the week, because I am not ready!

Listening: My one year LOVES to play in the kitchen cupboards, what toddler doesn't?  Tonight he pulled out a dish and knocked down the whole stack of mixing bowls, scaring him quite a bit, so now hubby is putting on the locks.  Now for me to remember the next time I go to open a cupboard.

Loving: Saturday morning my cable, internet, and phone line was cut resulting in NO technology for over 24 hours...YIKES!  We are switching cable companies and the new once came out to bury the new line before hooking it up in the house and ended up cutting the old line, so we had to wait for the old company to come fix it because our new service won't be hooked up until this coming Friday.  What a headache!?!

Thinking: I have read many Monthly Goals post, comments, and emails expressing how excited you all are about my new linky!  I am happily {and appreciative} surprised at how many people have linked up!  How are you all coming along?  So far I have not gone to Walmart or Target {I've thought about it}, I've gone to the gym once in the past five days {baby steps}, and have spent more quality time with my boys.

Wanting:  I am really over this year.  I am counting down the weeks, days, and hours I have left; hence the clock to the right :)

Needing: Since I am over this year I am finding it hard to plan fun things for my kids.  We still have our State Assessments this month so we are focusing more test prep than anything else.  All their local assessments this year were on the computer and the state is paper and pencil...does that make sense to you!?!  Therefore, I am reviewing paper and pencil test taking strategies.

Summer Bucket List:  I recently feel God tugging at me to spend more quality time with my boys and hubby.  I plan to spend time with them outside, on the boat, playing games, and fun family outings this summer.  When I am not doing that I hope to deep clean my house or scrap up some money to pay someone to do it.  I think paying someone will help me achieve BOTH items :)

Other Updates:

1. This week one of my friends, and coworker, gave birth to her first child and now I have baby fever. Tomorrow is my turn to bring them dinner, I am making Buffalo Chicken Garbage Bread.  We are both from the same small town south of Buffalo, NY and LOVE buffalo chicken!  I found the recipe on her Pinterest board.  Last year when I had my son my team used my food board to plan meals, we are doing the same for her.  {Isn't that a genius idea!?!}

2. I spelled "they" as "thay" in a text last week.  Thankfully I caught it before I hit send, but I think it means I have been teaching too long.

3.  I received and apology from a parent during a meeting last week, because she blamed me for her child's struggles.  She even went to the board on me, I "won".  I did not expect an apology, but was very appreciative and grateful for it.

4. I am loving the Sacred Marriage Bible study we are attending!  There is a couple that has been married for 44 years on our class and I adore listening to their advice and wisdom.

It's APRIL and time for Farley's monthly currently linky party!

Listening: While I was on bed rest a few weeks back I became a fan of Katie Couric's talk show.  Today's topic, adoption.

Loving:  I am FINALLY on Spring Break!  Yay!  My mom and step-dad were here for Easter and we did a ton of shopping!

Thinking: There are SO MANY things I want to do this week, but I also want to relax a bit.

Wanting: I really want to go to the Container Store, but hubby said no to that :)

Needing: To catch up on some blog post, so keep checking back to see what's been happening around here :)  I also need to finish up lesson plans for the last nine weeks.

Advice:  This year has been challenging personally, professionally, and spiritually; and I have learned there is always room for improvement.  I am working on improving my health, family, teaching practices, and mind set.  Where can you make improvements?

First I would like to THANK everyone who participated in my 100 Follower Giveaway!  The LUCKY winner is Jennette M.!

Can you believe it is MARCH!  Where did February go!?!  I am linking up with Farley's March Currently...LOVE this monthly linky party!  I always find fun new blogs to follow :)
Listening:  My hubby is watching some show about a man that scammed thousands of dollars from women.

Loving:  Today was my son's first birthday party!  (Details below)  We did a Dr. Seuss theme and I Love how everything turned out!

Thinking: I have so many things to get done or accomplished...there is just never enough time in the day!

Wanting: We are on Dave Ramsey's plan to becoming debt free, I just hate how slow the process is but so easy to get into debt.

Needing: In preparation for the party today I threw my downstairs mess into my master bedroom, it's a very scary sight in there!

Like, Love, Hate:  This was hard with the letter J!  Like the journeys life gives us, love all jewelry (I know I spelled it wrong on my currently...oops!), hate jello; I think it is gross :)

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!
Our school celebrated Read Across America Day on Friday.  I told my students if they could keep the name "Dr. Seuss" on the board through the week they could earn a celebration on Friday.  This was difficult for them some days, but were able to pull it off :)
Students wore red and a wonderful parent cut out the Thing hats for me!

We are working on fractions so I gave the students multi-colored goldfish to use for creating fractions.

They sorted their fractions and then ordered the fraction on  a number line.

I made blue jello with sweedish fish for a treat.

My "Things" working hard!

My 22 "Things"

 My Baby is ONE!
I can not believe my last baby (note: I have said last baby before, I am for real this time!) is ONE!  Carson is the sweetest and loving boy!  Since I LOVE Dr. Seuss his party theme was of course Dr. Seuss!

Enjoying his Cat in the Hat cake.
(I made the cake)
Love having most of the decorations in my classroom to use for the party!

All the guest wrote a special message to Carson in the book.
Seriously, I don't know what we did before Pinterest!  Many of the food items come from there, some I did come up with on my own.
The Truffula Trees are my own creation, cotton candy and a pretzel rod, so simple!  They were a hit!

Many guest just couldn't get pass the green eggs :)

My family LOVES little smokies, so I had to look up a book to go with the theme :)

Our big boy!

Making his cake the night before...please ignore the messy kitchen!
My three loves!

The boy loves cake!
I used a pillow case to cover the back of his highchair, because it didn't match the theme.  Also, made for easy cleanup.

Last Sunday Carson had a cake smash photo shoot.  This is one of the proofs.  Jamie did a fabulous job!

Such a cutie pie!

I am catching up on blogging tonight, two post in one night WOW :)  I can't miss linking up to my favorite linky party...Farley's Currently!

Have a great night!
It's a new year and a new month which means it time for Farley's Currently Linky Party!

Listening:  The TV show Dooms Day Preppers.  I don't care for this show and surprised they still air it even after the fail of the Mayan Apocalypse.

Loving:  My Life.  Just the other day I was sitting in my house holding my baby boy and watching my older two play,  I was just amazed at where I am in life.  We are very blessed to have three healthy boys, a nice home, jobs, etc.

Thinking: I don't want to go back to work tomorrow!  I am used to having at least two weeks off for Winter Break.  We were shorted this year and I am not adjusting well.

Wanting: Craft and create.  I am feeling creative today so I wanted to craft but ended up not using my creativity.

Needing: To go to the gym.  I didn't make it to the gym, I hate going out in the rain.  I did walk/run on the treadmill for 30  minutes so I will count that as going to the gym.  I think it is crazy that I have a treadmill and a gym membership, weird I know :)

One Little Word:  Embrace.  I am going to embrace what I have been blessed with, embrace things I can not change, and embrace those I adore and love.
It's that time again to link up with Oh' Boy 4th Grade's Currently post!  I love these post because you get to find new blogs and bloggers.

Listening:  We have started watching a new show, Chicago Fire.  My hubby and I are addicted to our nightly tv shows.  It's a time we get to hang out without our kids and just relax.

Loving: I love this this time of year!  Christmas decorations are the prettiest.  There is nothing like a dark room lit by white Christmas lights, stockings hung from the mantle, and putting out nativity scenes.

Thinking: Progress Reports go home Friday and I don't have all my grades entered in the online grade book. I also will be out Friday and need to write my sub plans and run copies.

Wanting:  This has been a LONG week and it is only WEDNESDAY!  This week has really made me reflect on my class, teaching, and education in general.  I am wanting Christmas break to start tomorrow!  I need time to relax and make some decisions.

Needing: I haven't bought a single Christmas present for my boys!  This is the baby's first Christmas I have no idea what to get him.  He wants his brother's toys and our electronics, any suggestions!?!

Random Acts of Kindness:  Recently our custodian was told he had prostate cancer.  I have decided to get a grocery gift card to provide him and his wife with some financial help during his time off for surgery.  Praying everything goes well for him!

I am excited to participate in my first Currently post by Oh' Boy Fourth Grade.

I did tend to the needs of my hungry baby before posting this post :)

Speaking of of To Do list, how many do you have? I have a list for school and for at home, both equally long and never ending.  This weekend I am hoping to cross of math plans from my school to do list and cleaning out closets, laundry, and finish favors for my sister's baby shower off of my home to do list.  This weekend is dedicated to my family needs over my classroom needs.  What are you hoping to accomplish this weekend?
